- Proof of flights - you will need to supply a copy of either your itinerary or proof of pre-paid flights showing arrival and departure dates into and from NZ.
- Criminal Background Information; you are to supply all information regarding any criminal records or offences.
- Travel Insurance; you will need to provide proof of paid travel insurance for your trip (This can be completed in Step 3)
STEP 3 - The Booking Form
You are required to fill out your flight information, i.e., what dates you would like to depart and return, you can depart at any time throughout the year however we strongly suggest that in order to secure jobs and accommodation you are best to travel within our suggested dates of June 1st - June 15th (Winter), and 1st Dec - 15th Dec (Summer). All group flights through Rawkus Worldwide Depart LAX Airport and arrive Queenstown Airport.
As most people travel between these dates this is when our orientations and arrival parties are held, these will not be available after these dates. However everything else will.
You will also need to fill your insurance booking form and have this paid for to send away your immigration papers.
STEP 4 – Applying for a job
You will be issued with your own log in and Password, these will give you access to the Rawkus Job Page, Rawkus Accomodation page and Rawkus Forum. Employers in Queenstown and Wanaka advertise their job vacancies exclusively with Rawkus. This is updated on a weekly basis and puts you in direct contact with the hiring staff for a particular job.
STEP 5 – Applying for your accommodation
Your allocated log-in and password will also give you access to the Rawkus Accommodation page. Here you will be able to view all the available housing vacancies available. You can use the Rawkus Online Forum to chat with others if you are looking for housemates. Rawkus will be onboard throughout your whole employment and accommodation process and will assist as much as they can with anything you need done.
